In the Criminal Justice System blacks and Latinos are being accused of more crimes than whites are. Blacks and Latino are more likely to be sent for life in jail on some crimes then whites are. This is unfair. In the news if a black kid goes missing it only appears on the T.V once or twice. When a white kid goes missing it goes worldwide and everyone notices. The police stop blacks at a rate that are much higher than whites. In New York City, 80% of the NYPD stops were of blacks and Latinos, when whites were stopped, only 8%.The same is true most other places as well. In a California study, the ACLU found blacks are three times more likely to be stopped than whites. In a courtroom blacks wait for a public defender longer than whites would have to. Also blacks are more likely accused guilty even when they are innocent. Blacks are also more likely to wait for trials than whites do.
